It is highly recommended that students in grades 4 - 9 have their own Chromebook or similar personal device. Much of our students' schoolwork is completed using a Chromebook and many of the textbooks, digital resources, and learning platforms they use are accessed through their devices.
With proper care, a quality Chromebook should provide students with several years of use. Currently, all students in grades 4 - 9 have a Chromebook or a similar personal device to use.
Chromebook Purchasing Information
At this time, we recommend that families purchase Chromebooks from local retailers rather than through the ECSD Parent Purchase Program. Compugen is currently experiencing difficulty sourcing Chromebooks and is therefore unable to reliably fulfill orders.
We will provide an update when the Compugen Parent Purchase Program is again able to supply Chromebooks.
When available, the ECSD Parent Purchase Program through Compugen offers several benefits. Chromebooks purchased through the program include a three-year warranty with accidental damage coverage and come pre-loaded with required software.
