Edmonton Catholic Schools recognizes Volunteer Appreciation Week from April 27 to May 1, 2026. It's a chance for our schools and Division to highlight the extraordinary service and the indelible impact volunteers have on our students and staff.

Ignite Volunteerism

This year’s Volunteer Appreciation Week also aligns with Ignite Volunteerism and with 2026 being proclaimed by the United Nations as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development. The year‑long observance shines a light on the many ways volunteers strengthen communities, contribute to sustainable development, and respond to local needs through both formal and informal service. It also calls on organizations and communities to recognize, support, and renew volunteerism for the future.

To all of our volunteers, thank you for being a living witness to Christ’s love — generously giving your time, talents, and energy to support our Catholic school community. We celebrate and recognize all the volunteers, including students, staff, and families, who play an integral role in supporting our schools.
